Try this healthy easy-to-make on-the-go breakfast

Here’s a great idea for a breakfast yogurt parfait that can be taken on the way out the door. All you need is a spoon. While its not as easy as a breakfast bar or a diet/low sugar/low fat shake, its probably healthier and creates less of a chance of eating disorders in teenagers… and it probably takes a little more than a hour to create enough for the whole family to have one every morning. The hardest part of this is the homemade granola, but you could buy that instead.

A healthy breakfast that can be easily taken to work is sometimes a challenge. So now one of my favorite things to make on Sundays is a batch of breakfast parfaits in jars. I use old mason jars and canning jars, and fill them with layered fruit and yogurt. Then during the week, we can just grab a jar from the fridge, and a small container of nuts or granola and we have a pre-made, convenient, but very healthy breakfast.
